Two os in one desktop?

i see in a a film that someone use linux os to work (redhat i think), then without restarting computer he change OS with windows 2003, he only log on. then in his desktop there is two windows, the one is linux and other is windows. is it only a camera trick or real, if it real how to do thatTwo os in one desktop?

He must use VirtualPCs. This creates a concealed PC environment where you can install an OS. He could be in WindowsXP and have 2 VirtualPCs open, one with Windows 2003, and other with Fedora Redhat.
You can do Mac and Windows at the same time if you want on the newer Macs.
It is possible to use two different operating systems on one computer, but I have not tried this.
