How to change vista os from 32 bit to 64 bit with a dvd from microsoft that has a part number x14-33786-01?

i spoke to microsoft and gave them my product key from my vista home premium upgrade from XP and for $9.95 they sent me a dvd that says replacement disc , includes service pack 1 and disc contains software only , with no instructions and is this my OS 64 bit . do i need to do like a clean install and what are the steps i take if this is a complete OS 64 bit, it came from microsoft.com/windowsvista/1033/ordermed?, its reads windows vista home premium also DVD and replacement disc and that it has SP1 and disc contains 64 bit software only , what do i need to do ? signed frustrated , i hope somebody can make sense out of what i saidHow to change vista os from 32 bit to 64 bit with a dvd from microsoft that has a part number x14-33786-01?
Unfortunately you cannot upgrade from 32bit windows to 64bit windows without doing a re-install. Recommendation would be to back-up all your personal data to DVD's or an external device then do a fresh installation of vista by booting directly from the new vista disk and formatting the partition when prompted.
