How do i change the OS of an older PC from Windows ME to Windows 98?

And yes, i'm serious. Is it difficult? I have the Win 98 disk. This PC will be used strictly for some old music software that runs perfect on Win 95/98, but is unrecognizable on anything after that. Thanks.How do i change the OS of an older PC from Windows ME to Windows 98?
Windows '98 CD is not bootable and since you have windows ME install it will not let you downgrade.You need to get the windows 98 boot disks (http://www.bootdisk.com/) and start with them.Format the drive and after that you know what to do.How do i change the OS of an older PC from Windows ME to Windows 98?
You should boot from a win 98 install cd, and format the disk first, after then you can install the operating system.





Or you should format the disk with partition magic first, and boot from the install cd, and install the operating system...
