could it be possible to overwrite my old operating system without erasing my files?i do not mean format,just to erase my os and retain my files.. how should i do it if possible?Changing os?
if this is windows, the option is called ';install and leave file system intact';
if this is mac OS, it is ';archive and install';
if you are on linux, you are on your own. go browse a message board and use google to find it. and don't be surprised when they tell you to go read the manual instead of asking them for help.

Yes there are two ways.
1. When you put the CD It will ask you do you want to ';format the drive'; or ';install and leave file system intact';
2. You can install another OS on to ur computer without changing the previous version. It will say '; want to install fresh copy ';
How this will help or you can call a technecal guy he wil do it.
