i have a laptop it's a toshiba and its os is japanese version of windows 98 on it, how can i replace a windows xp os english version?..and there's no extra drive on it.please helpHow can i change my windows 98 os to windows xp?
You can just upgrade by purchasing the Windows XP CD installer. Make sure it is genuine and you're all set to go. Just pop in the CD and wait for the system to autoplay. A window will appear prompting whether you'd like to upgrade to Windows XP. Choose the upgrade and overwrite Windows 98. It most cases, you could save Windows XP in a separate partition of just one hard disk but it depends. Overwriting Windows 98 is the best option because it will be only considered trash in your hard disk.How can i change my windows 98 os to windows xp?
Dont do it I overwrote me with xp and increaced ram,,, it freezes always what cam I do and I paid 75$ for it well what does a new one cost....
u have to uninstall the window 98 or u install the window xp viw download or u can buy are cd
DON'T DO IT... XP is it's own system and anyone who has ever upgraded an OS can tell you that it never works exactly right. 98 is still a viable system and if you want to change.. then BUY a new comptuer... you will spend that much just trying to make that old toad of yours work with a newer OS
