Question about using MS Terminal Services?

Ok here is what I want to do. I want to have one machine set up as the terminal server preferably running windows XP Pro or Home. Then I want to use it as the Terminal server on the network. The terminal machines I want to run a network boot with no HDD on the machine at all. Can this be done. If so please give me some ideas how this would be set up. If I have to change OS on the server what is the best option? If it can't be done give a reason better than ....';Well because I'm an idiot and I can't do it dduuuhhhhhh!';Question about using MS Terminal Services?
The terminal server machine has to be setup as a server, not a workstation. It has to be able to support multiple connections and requests from the terminal nodes. You will need ';server class'; hardware specs.

I've setup terminal services in a LAN on a Win2000 server. I'm not sure about using XP as a server. It could work, but to be safe, I'd suggest Win2000 or Win2003 server.

As for the terminal nodes, unless you use specialised hardware terminals, I'm not sure you can boot up from the network without a lot of heavy-duty customisation. Even if you provide designated space on the server for the o/s and individual config files, how would you setup the computer hardware to access the server with no login and authentication?

Try linux.Question about using MS Terminal Services?
You can't use no-HDD machines unless you buy specific thin-client devices which have Windows OS built into their flash memory.

You can use PCs as thin-clients, but they still need a HDD so you can install Windows OS on them.
