impossible, Max OS extended is a ';format type'; meaning that you need to format to get into that type. If you have files on the hard drive that you are worried about, i suggest backing them up somewhere else then do a format ;)How to change NTFS to Mac os extended without formatting?
You can reformat the drive to HFS+ (';Mac OS Extended';) using the Disk Utility on your Mac. You'll find this in the /Applications/Utilities folder.
You have to format to change it, sorry.
