How to speed up my wireless connection?

hi my problem is that ive just change my os, i used to have windows vista but now i use xp, but i noticed that my wireless connection has slowed, it may be because of the driver? i dowloaded the driver for my pc (hp pavilon dv2000 amd64x2) , what can idoHow to speed up my wireless connection?
If the latest driver isn't working then it may be XP itself. Vista has vastly improved networking capabilities.How to speed up my wireless connection?
Cmon Vista is a problem itself .......stick with XP and you will have no isses.
