i have XP professional in the computer. i would like to the it to XP home. i have the XP home original CD. How i change the OS? At the same time, the data remain intact.How To Change Os Only?

Well I dont know why you would want to change by downgrading but it is your choice. You should go to the start menu then to acessaries and then down to system and over to ';files and transfer wizard'; they might be able to help you. Usually unless you put all the info on a disk that you want to save you lose the info. Good Luck!
You can't do a downgrade from Pro to Home. It looks like you'll have to backup all of your stuff and do a clean install of XP Home.
