Download ubuntu 9.04 from torrent sites but you should know first you need to install XP and then install ubuntuWant to change os begging you all experts help?
Linux Ubuntu is a free downloadable OS. Installation instructions are simple and often included on the download, You can try it first before installation as it is a live disk. I'm guessing you have a laptop hence the pen drive reference.
I don't have gen windows either and the media player stopped working so I changed to the free VLC media player. I would have stayed with Ubuntu but I enjoy gaming too much and games for Linux are few and far between.
It would be illegal to download XP for free.
You need to purchase the license to the program.
However, Linux is free (most of them anyway).
You could download it or request a free CD.
I'm currently dual-booting Windows XP and Linux Mint 7 and I really like Mint 7. You could download it for free off of the Mint website: http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
NOTE: If you download it, it'll be in the form of an ISO image file and you will need to burn the ';image'; to a CD in order to boot it. You could download Imgburn and burn it from there.
Also, the ISO file is Something like 690MB. So if you have a slow internet connection you may have to get the CD. The Mint CD will cost $10 and like $3 for shipping as opposed to over $100 for Windows.
brown3032@att.net, I'll hook u up.
You have a pirated copy of XP that you are having a problem with then want to replace it with a free copy? What makes you think you can get a genuine copy for free? Linux - yes, XP - no.
