Insert the cd %26gt; restart computer %26gt; you should be asked to ';Press Any Key to Boot from CD'; %26gt; format your hard drive, meaning deleting everything from it and then install the Windows XP %26gt; enter a genuine serial key and your done! if you have a slow computer stay with XP, also means if you are just doing web browsing and MS word.
If you're planning to game, I assume you have new hardware, go with Vista.
When you stick in the CD, it will asked to install a completely new OS.
***REMEMBER, to backup all your personal documents on a USB or another cd, you may lose them.
pictures, family videos, files. etc
Insert the XP install disc and restart your computer. You may need to change the boot order in your BIOS configuration to make sure to machine boots to disc first. You can reformat and reinstall the OS from the install disc.
Make sure to backup all your data first and make sure there are XP drivers available for your hardware.
JUST INSERT THE XP CD AND CLICK INSTALL FRESH COPY OF WINDOWS
